Lucifer story is written by Murali Gopy. The movie produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Aashirvad Cinemas. This movie marks directorial debut for Prithviraj.
As a director Prithviraj confirmed it will be a political thriller movie and the movie features Mohanlal in lead role of Stephen Nedumpally and the supporting actors are Vivek Oberoi, Indirajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas and Manju warrier.
The film began principal photography in mid-July 2018 in Idukki district. The film was also shot at locations in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kollam, Lakshadweep, Mumbai and Russia. The first teaser of the film was released on 13 December 2018. Lucifer is scheduled to be released in theatres on 28 March 2019.
